Josef Kaplan joins COMMIT as the Director of Education and Partnerships

The COMMIT Foundation is excited to announce that Josef Kaplan has joined the team as the Director of Education and Partnerships. Jo is a US Army Veteran who is passionate about service to others, especially fellow Veterans. As a transitioning Veteran himself, he understands the importance of the COMMIT Foundation and its mission to help Veterans and Americans change the way they view the transition. He is passionate about building relationships and above all loves helping others. “The ability to help define the transition experience as one that is incredibly positive for Veterans and organizations alike is what I will enjoy most about this exciting new role,” Kaplan said.

Jo graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Leadership and he subsequently served as an Infantry Officer with the 101st Airborne Division and 1st Ranger Battalion. He is proud of his 5 years of service and four deployments to Afghanistan. The bonds forged and lessons gleaned during this timeframe are some of the most rewarding and significant to date.

Upon transitioning from Active Duty, Jo served a Mission Continues Fellowship as the first Executive Director at a Veteran’s Non-Profit Organization named Service To School. Prior to joining COMMIT, Jo served as a Program Manager at Rowan Technology Solutions and a Financial Investment Professional in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs.
