Spouse Transition Workshops
The COMMIT spouse workshops are part of the COMMIT Family Transition programs. These workshops are offered to cohorts virtually over a three-month period. During this time, participants will meet with their cohort four times to engage in group coaching and informational sessions. The participants will further discover the topic presented through a series of self-guided activities to complete.
-
Identity
During this session, the participant will explore who they are, what their strengths are, and how they can utilize these strengths to build a purposeful life.
-
Values
This session focuses on the participant exploring their values and how they relate to their purpose.
-
Alignment
Now that the participant has explored their personal values, this session will help them align their values with their goals. They will focus on values alignment, acknowledging their fears, and finding the courage to pursue their purpose in accordance with their values.
-
Telling Your Story
During this session, each participant will have the opportunity to reflect on their story. They will learn to weave together their strengths, skills, and experiences to create a story about themselves that they can share with potential employers or new acquaintances.
The information shared helps partners be a better team and work toward the same future goals. Investing in spouses will have a measurable impact on service members' successful outcomes. As a spouse, we spend a good amount of our time living in the shadows of our service member. It is nice to know that we are not being forgotten in this hard season of our lives
Lisa
My sessions spanned a very tumultuous time, and my coach consistently helped me to focus and make positive changes. I highly recommend the COMMIT family transition program to all military spouses!
