The COMMIT Foundation Launches Webinar Series to Support Federal Employees Amidst Recent Layoffs
The COMMIT Foundation Launches Webinar Series: “Resiliency in Times of Uncertainty”
Bozeman, MT – In response to the recent policy changes leading to federal workforce reductions, The COMMIT Foundation is launching a webinar series titled “Resiliency in Times of Uncertainty” to provide actionable strategies, mentorship, and career transition support to those affected by job uncertainty. Participants are encouraged to register for the entire four-part webinar series; however, separate registration links for each session are provided below.
“Losing a job can be overwhelming, but no one has to face it alone,” said JC Glick, CEO of The COMMIT Foundation. “This series aims to equip individuals with the tools, confidence, and community support needed to navigate these challenging times.”
The four-part virtual webinar series will kick off on March 6 at 1:00 p.m. ET with “Career Decisions in Times of Uncertainty,” facilitated by Meagan Thrift, The COMMIT Foundation Vice President of Program Innovation and Engagement.
“We need to help those in our COMMIT family facing uncertainty. They’ve served our country, and we need to help them feel more comfortable with the turmoil they are currently experiencing,” said Thrift. “Change at any time is tough. Living in a state of limbo is very challenging - especially for a population that likes to plan.”
The second webinar, “Navigating Uncertainty: Insights from Leaders and Mentors” with a panel featuring Matt Oberhardt, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz and COMMIT board member, Pam Coffey, COMMIT executive coach and COMMIT Fellow Dan Rickert, Vice President of Business Operations for Air Space Intelligence, is March 11 at 2 p.m. ET.
According to Meagan Thrift, The COMMIT Foundation is responding to the needs of our fellows and their families as additional uncertainty has added a layer of complexity to their planning.
Join COMMIT and Dan Baugher with Donovan Bank on March 13 at 1 p.m. ET for a webinar addressing financial stability and budgeting strategies during uncertain times and March 18 at noon ET for a session on resume building and professional branding with Scott Vedder. Each session will offer practical guidance and expert mentorship to empower participants to take control of their career paths.
“We always say COMMIT is for life,” said Glick. “That means showing up when it matters most. This series is about giving people the knowledge, support, and confidence to take control of their future—because no one should have to navigate uncertainty alone.”
The webinar series is for COMMIT Fellows and their spouses and those interested in applying to COMMIT, including former military members, military spouses, intelligence professionals, and allied partners.
