COMMIT Foundation Launches Back-to-Back Leadership Labs in Seattle: Shaping the Future of Veteran and Spouse Empowerment

Bozeman, Mont. – In a bold and unprecedented move, The COMMIT Foundation will host two consecutive workshops in Seattle from April 29 to May 1, aimed at unlocking the leadership potential of transitioning service members and military spouses. These immersive experiences—held at Amazon’s Gatsby Building—are not simply workshops; they are launchpads for transformation, designed to help high-potential individuals build futures filled with purpose, identity, and impact.

“This is the first time we’ve held back-to-back events specifically tailored for spouses and service members,” said Tanya Reinhardt, Vice President of Growth and Integration for COMMIT. “It’s more than logistics—it’s about harnessing synergy, and amplifying our impact by bringing two vital communities together.”

Over three days, thirty selected participants will engage in curated conversations and small-group sessions with military veterans, corporate trailblazers, and civic innovators from across the Pacific Northwest. Business leaders will step out from behind the boardroom to share real-world stories, candid advice, and authentic insights, all in service of helping others shape their next chapter.

Among those attending are some of the nation’s most accomplished veterans and spouses—individuals who have led elite military units, launched successful businesses, and navigated high-impact roles in government and academia. Each participant was selected not only for their service but for their vision to lead and contribute at the highest levels in civilian life.

JC Glick, retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and CEO of The COMMIT Foundation, will also be in attendance to facilitate sessions, meet directly with participants, and champion the organization’s mission of lifelong transformation over transactional transition.

“This isn’t about giving someone a checklist to leave the military—it’s about helping them design a life that reflects their purpose, values, and potential,” said Glick. “We’re proud to walk alongside leaders who will shape the next generation of business, service, and innovation.”

“The Seattle Workshop is more than an event—it’s a catalyst for transformation,” said Adrianne Huls, Director of Veteran Services at COMMIT. “We’re creating a space where military spouses and veterans are not just seen, but empowered—where they can clarify their path, connect with a tribe, and move forward with courage and clarity.”

This initiative is made possible through a growing network of mission-aligned partners, including Amazon, which will again host the program, and the JTMF Foundation, whose steadfast support continues to unlock new possibilities for those exiting uniform.

“JTMF is one of our most valued partners—especially in the Pacific Northwest,” said Reinhardt. “Their investment enables COMMIT to deliver high-impact experiences at no cost to participants, empowering hundreds of service members and spouses to redefine their futures.”

As COMMIT deepens its national footprint, this Seattle moment signals something greater: a shift toward lifelong support, not just one-time assistance—toward designing lives of leadership and contribution beyond the military.

“COMMIT is growing with momentum and meaning,” added Huls. “Together with partners like Amazon and JTMF, we’re shining a spotlight on a community that deserves more—and building a movement defined by possibility, purpose, and the power of showing up for one another.”
