Executive Coach Bios

Alison Carroll

An Arlington, Virginia-based professional linguist and now executive coach with a PCC certification from the International Coach Federation, Alison trained in Ontological Coaching, Narrative Coaching and is a certified member of the first Integrated Development Practitioner cohort held in 2020 by The Moment Institute. She founded The Hidden Narrative LLC over a decade ago, and she partners with clients at different stages of life and career to find fulfillment, whatever their path through change. In addition to her coaching credentials, Alison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Romance Languages and Literature from Harvard University, a Master’s Degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and three translation certifications from Georgetown University. Alongside her private practice, Alison has worked with The COMMIT Foundation since 2014 and considers this engagement among the most enriching of her career, encouraging her to dig deeper into scholarship on adult development and spiritual maturity, among other topics. She is an avid swimmer and fitness devotee, loves to travel and is married with four adult children.

Pam Coffeey

Jamie Efaw

Jamie graduated from West Point with a BS in Psychology and an MA in Psychology from UNC- Chapel Hill. After a 25+ year career in the Army, he retired in 2019 and transitioned from the Army using the resources of the COMMIT Foundation. Jamie holds his coaching certification from the International Coaching Federation and enjoys helping veterans envision and achieve their desire life after the military. He has served as a transition coach with The Commit Foundation since 2019 he also works full-time for the non-profit organization, Young Life.  Jamie lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Allison of 25+ years. They have three children.

Julie French

Julie French is a coach with the COMMIT Foundation, where she helps service member and veteran families navigate life and career transitions with clarity, confidence, and a good dose of encouragement. With twenty years of experience as a military spouse, Julie knows the twists, turns, and unexpected detours that come with military life, and how to chart a fulfilling path forward. Her coaching blends insight, empathy, and practical tools, helping clients uncover their strengths, clarify their goals, and take bold steps toward what’s next. After her husband’s retirement from the Navy, Julie returned home to Helena, MT, where she soaks up small-town life with her husband, Michael, and their seven kids. When she’s not coaching, you’ll likely find her reading a good book, at the piano, or laughing around the dinner table with her family.

Laura Maasdam

Laura is an executive performance coach and speaker on negotiation, communication and persuasion. A graduate of the Naval Academy and Harvard Kennedy School, she is a 12-year Navy veteran and former helicopter pilot. Laura flew the CH-46D Sea Knight, deploying throughout the Middle East and spent the second half of her aviation career as an Instructor Pilot. Upon leaving the military, Laura received her Masters in Public Administration from Harvard, where she focused on negotiation, conflict resolution and performance leadership. Laura worked closely with Harvard Law School’s on Negotiation and is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. She has been a featured speaker and facilitator for Fortune 500 companies in fields ranging from healthcare, banking, real estate and technology. She enjoys facilitating Executive Leadership Team, Culture & Communication workshops. Prior to co-founding Sixth Wing LLC, Laura was the lead executive coach and facilitator for McChrystal Group and Prism Learning Group. In all her endeavors, Laura’s strives to help her clients achieve their peak performance by drawing upon the leadership lessons of military service and from her business expertise. Outside of work, Laura is dedicated to helping veterans transition out of the military. Laura currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two sons.

Otis McGregor

Otis’ passion guides people to find clarity and resolve in their purpose, pursue their success and build a tribe to accelerate and sustain a life of fulfillment and success. Otis' purpose is to create a legacy of leaders who create more leaders, who all create great organizations. Kyle Moses

Nicki Pearce

Nicki Pearce is an Executive and Personal Coach with over two decades of experience as a coach, consultant, business leader, and owner of her own coaching practice. She has partnered with and provided strategic counsel to CEOs and leaders at all levels of organizations. Nicki’s experience as an organizational and management consultant focusing on individual and organizational performance for a variety of government, non-profit, and private sector clients, has given her a unique and robust combination of skills and perspectives, which increase her coaching effectiveness. Nicki is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Masters of Business Administration in Organizational Behavior from The George Washington University. Her post-graduate training in Advanced Certified Executive and Personal Coaching is from the College of Executive Coaching. She is also an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. Nicki is both a Veteran and military spouse. She served as an E-2C Hawkeye Naval Flight Officer for 8.5 years in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Jason Roncoroni

Jason originates from a small, blue collar town from the rust belt of Pennsylvania. He went to West Point because he was looking for something different after high school and received his commission as an aviation officer upon graduation in 1993. He served 21 years in the military including three combat tours to Afghanistan. Jason has also held leadership positions in the nonprofit, small business, and corporate sectors including more than 11 years of executive level experience. Jason is a visionary who wants to bridge the gap between confidence and potential to optimize performance and well being by integrating research, science, and theory from positive psychology into the coaching profession. Jason works with the Commit Foundation because he is committed to inspiring veterans in life beyond the military. Jason is an avid fan of football, science fiction, and music. He loves working out and spending time at the beach. He lives in Florida with his wife Jill, his two sons Aidan and Everett, and their dog Marley.

Bridget Ruiz

Bridget Ruiz is an executive coach specializing in the power of positive psychology and appreciative inquiry in the workplace. Bridget is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a founding partner of Sixth Wing, LLC. After graduating with distinction from the US Naval Academy in 1998, Bridget served as a Basic Diving and Salvage Officer, Surface Warfare Officer, and steam engineer. While deployed aboard the USS DULUTH, Bridget supported the recovery of the USS COLE after its bombing in Aden, Yemen. Prior to completing active duty service, Bridget also served at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Unit One in San Diego, CA. At Sixth Wing, Bridget and her business partner, Laura, combine the leadership lessons of military service with their experience in business to bring a unique perspective to their corporate and nonprofit clients. Bridget lives in Maryland with her husband, also a Navy veteran, and 3 sons.

Gary Slyman

Gary assists clients to build clarity on their path forward as a leader and executive. Clients develop a realistic vision based on their values, and the path to realize that vision. He founded his coaching practice, Great Transitions Strategies in 2016, and holds a Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coach Federation and a certificate in facilitation from Georgetown’s Institute of Transformational Leadership. His specialty is career transitions. Gary has led organizations operating in dynamic high risks environments to educational settings. As a Marine Corps officer, he served 23 years to include commanding an aviation squadron in combat and served as the Deputy Director of the Ethics Center at USNA. As the first head of a newly formed private independent, coeducational day school, he led the development of a fully integrated leadership curriculum. Gary lives in Annapolis MD with wife Michele. They have two grown children and one grandchild.

Sandy Travis

Sandy Travis has worked thirty years as a coach, consultant, and trainer around the world. She also spent time in the Peace Corps after studying biology at Cornell and Yale. Sandy has recently shifted her focus to heart-centered living and partnering with people ready to make a profound impact on the world around them. She has a Masters of Science and a Masters of International Administration. She uses heart rate variability training to help wired, tired and stressed executives sustain their A game and optimum performance no matter what the pressures and circumstances of life and business. For the past several years she has worked with top tier military and Special Forces to find purpose in the next phase of their career, first with the Honor Foundation and now with the COMMIT Foundation.

Court Whitman

International Coaching Federation credentialed Professional Certified Coach w/over 2,900 hours of Coaching experience to include 9 years coaching experience supporting COMMIT Fellows. In addition to Coaching, professional experience includes Army retired (2016), SaaS Sales, People & Culture, Consulting, Outdoor Adventure Guide and Entrepreneurship.
